SEMINAR OVERVIEW

Both direction and destination are critically important for organizational success. As the rate of change within the operating environment increases, following yesterday’s procedures becomes risky. An organization must continuously formulate and implement new strategies.

This seminar is structured to introduce the various elements required for successfully preparing a business plan. The flow of the seminar will begin by addressing the purpose and scope of business planning and thereafter incorporating its interrelation to supply chain and financial management requirements.

SEMINAR GOALS

Upon completion of this module candidates should be able to:

  • Define strategy
  • List and describe the role of strategy relative to the organizational hierarchy and alignment through the hierarchy
  • Discuss two models used to describe business-level strategy
  • List and describe the steps within strategy formulation including situational analysis tools such as SWOT (strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) and Porter’s 5
  • Identify the critical success factors of the implementation plan, including financial budgeting
  • Describe supply management’s role within the strategic process

Payment Cancellation Policy

Registrants will receive a full refund for modules/courses cancelled by Supply Chain Canada, New Brunswick Institute.

You are eligible for a refund minus an administration fee of $75.00+HST for cancellation/withdrawal requests received in writing before the end of study week 2; thereafter, no refund will be available.  Transfer requests to a future offering are permissible only if received in writing and accompanied by supporting documentation prior to study week 3.  Credits to be used for future offerings are valid for 12 months from the date of initial payment and will expire if not used in that time frame.  Please contact NB Institute for details regarding eligibility to transfer.

If you would like to withdraw from a module, please send an email to us at info.nb@supplychaincanada.com. You are required to inform the NB Institute of your intent as soon as possible. Clearly state your intention to withdraw and provide authorization for us to proceed.
